Akshardham Temple

You do not want to miss out on this one. The jaw-dropping beauty of this huge temple will leave you mesmerized. You need to dedicate an entire day of your visit to Akshardham and enjoy all that it has to offer. Which includes three exhibitions and a water show. In the evening, you can treat yourself to a visual delight in the form of a splendid water show and end your day with a meal at the food court. The calm atmosphere at this place will soothe your senses and make you feel refreshed.

The Lotus Temple

Inspired by the lotus flower, it is a white marble paradise. It is flanked by a beautiful garden and should be a must visit on your Delhi Travels.

Jama Masjid

It is one of the largest mosques in India. There are three domes on the terrace which are guarded by two minarets. The monument is huge with breathtaking architecture. You will find yourself falling in love with the walls and small details that it has. We suggest you carry a pair of socks since you'll have to take off your footwear. The entry is free for Indian residents but if you wish to climb up the tower, there’s a small fee, which is totally worth the experience because of the view it offers. If you can wake up early and reach the place by 6:30-7 am, you will get to enjoy a blissful sunrise.

National Museum of New Delhi

Take a quick tour through India’s vast history by visiting the National Museum of New Delhi. In addition to the public galleries displaying sculptures, paintings, coins, decorative arts, textiles, arms and armor, manuscripts, anthropological artifacts, etc., the Museum building houses an auditorium, a library for researchers and the National Museum Institute. It has a collection of approximately 200,000 pieces!

Red Fort

Delhi Travels are incomplete without shopping. And with so much variety available, a little splurging won’t hurt. You can visit the Delhi Haat for buying high-quality handicrafts and souvenirs, along with various other clothing items. This can range from Pashmina items from Kashmir to embroidered pieces from Lucknow. You name it and they have it.

If you are on a budget and an avid street shopper, go to Sarojini Nagar and Janpath street markets for buying the trendiest pieces at throwaway prices. If it is traditional wear you are interested in, check out Lajpat Nagar market too. On a slightly higher budget, you can get some of the coolest pieces from the Tibetian market at Majnu ka Tila.

Delhi has endless options for the chic shopper too. Go to the GK market or explore Connaught place for some high-end shopping. And if malls are your thing, you must go to the Select Citywalk and DLF Place in Saket.
